VolunteerFIRST
was developed from the need to find a more efficient,
and less costly way to bring volunteers - and organizations
needing volunteer, together. By inviting organizations
to promote their need for volunteers without cost, or
for a lower cost (featured listings) than traditional
advertising, individuals looking to help will turn here
when searching for such opportunities. If
you are already registered to advertise with VolunteerFIRST,
please login.
Advertising
your volunteer opportunity is quite simple, first complete
our short
registration form - this makes you a VolunteerFIRST
member (no cost) and provides you with login instructions
so you can return and manage your listing. Currently
we do not require that your organization be a non-profit
organization, we do however require that you only list
volunteering opportunities (no financial compensation
offered).

Advertising Information...
Once
registered, you may POST UP TO 10 VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
WITHOUT COST, which should be sufficient for most organizations.
Each listing can appear for up to 90 days from the date
placed, and you can schedule the dates you want the
ad to start and hide within that time period. Ads are
archived so you can recall and restart it at anytime.
Because we encourage volunteers to respond to you, ads
should be as detailed as possible, and contain direct
contact information so interested volunteers have the
information they need to make a decision based on your
listing. A full page is permitted for you to describe
your ad, reference a image on your choice, and provide
complete contact information. Interested volunteers
can complete a very short form which will be submitted
to you for consideration and follow-up within 24-48
hours. The entire process of registering and placing
your first listing should take about 10 minutes. Each
listing after that only as long as it takes you to describe
it in a short form.
That's
it, placing your Volunteer Listings online is quite
simple. As all good fundraising organizations know (you've
taught us well), it wouldn't be right for us not to
request that you support our services financially, although
these are completely optional. When submitting your
listing, you'll see options to select low-cost, premium
services so your listing draws more attention. We hope
you consider these, but if you cannot, you'll still
receive our support and encouragement.

you've registered, we'll invite you to demo the Online

and register online for the shifts that offered, rather
than simply indicating their interest in volunteering.
